“Loe, gue, end!” This
sentence is usually expressed by most teenagers to break the relationship up
which means ‘You and I end”. It cannot be denied that all bad feelings will
come after words such as: gloomy and sad. In this condition, teenagers get
frustrated and it brings wicked impact to their life. They may be preoccupied
all day or even all month long to think over their ex-boyfriend or
ex-girlfriend. Therefore, to figure it out, they need to move on and arise from
what makes them gloomy. Most teenagers believe that moving on is hard because
it is not easy to forget someone who has engravedan unforgettable memory in
their life. However, after interviewing some friends in English Department, we
can consider that moving on can be realized by two steps: healing and preventing.
People who got injured
caused by an accident need to be heal in order to remove the wound. It is
similar to teenagers who have just broken up and got hurt. They are supposed to
heal the deep wound inside their heart. It can be applied by releasing the
feeling. Screaming while crying is proven sample to muffle the sadness. After
that, they need to express their feeling by sharing to someone that they trust.
It can relieve the heart. On the other hand, to reduce the germ in the wound,
it needs to remove the germ itself. Therefore, to forget him/her, they should
do the next step which is done by removing everything related to him or her.
Blocking his or her
ex’s account is a good beginning step. Mostly, teenagers are active netizens
(internet citizens) and they often keep in touch through social media. Hence,
when they block his or her ex’s account, they will slightly forget him or her
by not communicating each other. The following step is returning his or her
things. In fact, moving on is very hard to do when they still see their
ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend stuff in their room. By returning his or her ex’s
stuff, it will not remind them anymore about the memories that they had. In
addition, to heal the wound caused by the breaking up is getting busy with some
activities that can cheer them up. For instance, focusing on study is a good
way to help them forget him or her. After that, gathering with family and
friends or doing favorite activities is helpful alternative to move on.
It not only stops on healing,
but we should do the next step that is what we call as preventing. It is a step
which can be used as the preventive way after the process of healing is done
successfully. The first step that should be done is not listening to sad songs.
Somehow, we really know that songs really influence the listeners by theirmelodies
and lyrics. Teenagers are not supposed to listen to sad songs because it will
influence their heart and they would remember their ex-boyfriend or
ex-girlfriend. Besides, they should look for and decide the next special person
who can be their boyfriend or girlfriend. This step is really important to do.
Even though this needs much time to get someone special, it does not mean that
it is impossible. The possibility to have someone better still exists.
Moving on is no longer
difficult to do. By considering those effective steps, it will help teenagers
solve the problems caused by the breaking up. Hence, their expectation to move
on can be achieved successfully. Hopefully, these steps can be the effective
ways to avoid the gloom among the teenagers in the future.
